I finally got an invite to the new streaming service Rdio. I was invited by Refe Tuma Creative Deconstruction (:-)).

Ok, time to evaluate and compare it with Spotify.

Google Wave is finally available in Google Apps. Google has promised to release other services such as Reader, Picasa etc. in Google Apps.

Idag fyller min syster Hannah år. Tråkigt nog befiiner vi oss inte i Yorba Linda så vi kan inte vara med och gratulera på sängen, det får bli ett telefonsamtal istället.

Hannah, hoppas din dag blir alldeles underbar och att du får många fina presenter. Vi ringer sen när du har vaknat.

I have updated this blog to the latest and greatest version (2.8.4a). We where running WordPress on version 2.7.1 and there was some security issues with that version so it feels good that the upgrade is done.

Today I updated my ADP1 to Android 1.6. I flashed the device using an updated recovery image (read more). The process is simple, this is  how I did it.

First we need to download the radio image and the recovery image from HTC.  After the files are downloaded it’s time start the update. This is a two step process, first we will install the radio image and then the recovery image.

Install the radio image:

1. Connect the phone to the computer and mount the sdcard.
2. Copy the the radio image to the root folder of the sdcard.
3. Rename the file to update.zip.
4. Unmount the phone.
5. Turn of the phone by holding down the red “Power” (hang up button) … then confirming with “OK”.
6. Reboot the phone by holding down the Home button (House symbol) and and at the same time pressing the Power button.
7. Wait for the triangel. Then hold down alt-key and and press L.
8. Press alt+S
9. The update process will now start. The following text will be displayed on the screen:
   Android system recovery utility
   E:Can’t open /cache/recovery/command

   Home+Back – reboot system now
   Alt+L – toggle log t ext display
   Alt+S – apply sdcard:update.zip
   Alt+W – wipe data/factory reset

   Installing from sdcard…
   Finding update package…
   Opening update package…
   Verifying update package…
   Installing update…
   formatting BOOT:…
   Extracting radio image…
   Formatting SYSTEM:…
   Copying files…
   Writing BOOT:…
   Deleting files…
   Installation complete.

   Press Home+Back to reboot.

10. Now press Home and the Back buttons and the phone will reboot. Be patient here because it will reboot a couple of times.
11. The radio image is now installed and it’s time to install the recovery image.

10. Press Home+Back to reboot. At this point the image will be written to the phone. Now press Home and the Back buttons and the phone will reboot, at this point the image will be written to the phone. Be patient here because it will reboot a couple of times.

That was it. The Donut is now installed.

Tog en kvällspromenad till Mjörn i det fina vädret. En snabb fika på stranden och sen hem igen, vill ju inte missa Lotta på Liseberg.

Midsommarhelgen flöt på som den skulle, regn, regn och regn. Men nu har vi ju fint väder så det är bara att njuta så länge det varar.

I morse sjöng alla för mig, Erica, Alexandra, Josephine, Quinn, Mamma, Pappa. Erica smög upp tidigt i morse och var ute och grejade i köket. Efter en stund kom hon in och sjöng för fullt ackompanjerad av resten av ligan som befinner sig i LA. Kan det bli bättre?
Solen skiner ute fastän det är Potatisfestival så det måste vara för min skull som den skiner. Har precis ätit frukost och skall strax gå ut med Bosco.

Tills nästa gång. Ha det så gott och ta hand om varandra.

I natt landade Josephine i Los Angeles och Farmor och Farfar var och hämtade henne. Alexandra hade också tagit sig ner till LA för att överraska henne och det gjorde hon verkligen. Quinn var självklart också där för att hälsa henne välkommen.

Planet lyfte från landvetter igår klockan 10:30 och flög ner till Schiphole i Amsterdam. Där bytte hon plan och flög sedan direkt till LA. Vi var lite oroliga när hon var ner i Amstardam för planet var tydligen försenat. När vi tittade på nätet stod det inget om det så man undrade väl lite om “är hon vid rätt incheckningsdisk?” Det visade sig som så att hon hade full koll på läget och de blev efter en stund påsläppta på planet. Hon ringde oss när hon satt på planet (självklart, innan det lyft ) och talade om att hon var på. Då kände sig de oroliga föräldrarna mycket lugnare…… Nästa gång vi pratade med Josephine så satt hon i Alexandras bil och de var alla på väg ner till Yorba Linda. Var uppe tidigt i morse (som god pensionär) och då skypade vi med resten av ligan. De hade ätit och satt nu och kollade på tv. Fy vad vi önskar att vi var där….

Sitter precis och äter lunch, sill och potatis. Första gången i år och det smakar ljuvligt. Sill, potatis, gräddfil och gräslök, kan det bli bättre?

Uppe tidigt idag fastän man är ledig. Det är klart, vi är ju lediga för att vi skall köra Josephine till flygplatsen.

Vår ena katt Sulan, även kallad Hunter, brukar ju fånga möss som hon släpar in och lägger så stolt nere i gillestugan. Det brukar väl ligga en mus lite då och då men inatt var det nog rekord, fyra stycken. Har tydligen varit en lyckad natt.

Nu är det frukost och sedan dags att göra sig i ordning, klockan åtta sätter vi oss i bilen.
